Lucida Alba 01 is here!

After months of editing, sequencing, proofing, revising, and waiting, Lucida Alba 01 has arrived.
The book brings together 54 photographs made across nearly thirty years. Rather than organizing the work chronologically or by location, I approached the sequence as a visual conversation—looking for relationships in light, structure, atmosphere, scale, and traces of human presence.
Seeing the finished book as a physical object has been both satisfying and instructive. There are always things that become clearer in print than they are on screen: the pacing between images, the weight of a page turn, the way darker photographs reproduce, and the subtle differences between a proof and a full production run. This first edition has been very much a learning process, but also an important step in giving the work a more permanent form.
The book page on the site has now been updated with photographs of the finished publication and a short preview of selected spreads. Purchase information will be added shortly.
For now, I’m simply glad to have the book in hand.
