{ Development #3 }

The intention had been to photograph early twentieth-century neighborhoods and the industrial shoreline. Instead, after an hour walking a muddy trail toward the Knife River gorge, these trees became the unexpected discovery. They feel less like a forest than a drawing made from overlapping lines. This compression of space has begun appearing repeatedly throughout the work, whether in architecture or landscape.
